“Lee and I planned to do most of the wedding DIY style so we had a pretty clear idea of what we wanted at our wedding and were happy to arrange the vendors, and do most of the planning ourselves. When it came to thinking about how to actually make it all work on the day of the wedding day things started to seem a bit overwhelming and we decided we could use some extra help.

We found ThistleBEA after searching for some information on a ‘DIY’ type wedding and knew it would be a great fit. We had Winnie as our coordinator for the ‘A day in the life’ package and we couldn’t have been happier. Knowing that we had someone around on the wedding day who would be directing the vendors, checking our décor, and thinking about all the little details, took a lot of stress off of us. We wanted our family and friends to be enjoying themselves so it was nice to know that they did not need to take on too many tasks. 

Before the wedding things got busy and stressful. We met with Winnie at the rehearsal where we covered the list of things we needed her to do on the wedding day. She was very responsive and professional when it came to handling our requests. On the wedding day Lee met up with Winnie briefly to discuss final decorations, music organization and vendor arrangements before he had to do photos. From setting up the chairs, to coordinating with the bartender, everything turned out exactly how we envisioned. During the reception we had a few technical issues, like a blown fuse, but Winnie immediately dealt with the issue and the party continued without delay.
