BEHIND THE SCENES; DETAILS MEETING & TIMELINE CREATION – A GRANVILLE ISLAND WEDDING AT PERFORMANCE WORKS

Part two of a seven part series of the ins and outs of planning and executing a decor heavy DIY wedding Preparing for Heather & David’s DIY wedding at Performance Works was the most time I ever spent preparing for a wedding aside from my own. Their wedding was truly a production and it made so much sense that this amazing event was held in a performance space.  Many thanks to Capture Your Now for this photo About three weeks before our details meeting (which usually happens at 6 weeks before the wedding, but we did it closer to 8 weeks because of the amount of logistics involved) we met at Performance Works to go over the floor plan and...

BEHIND THE SCENES; INITIAL MEETING – A GRANVILLE ISLAND WEDDING AT PERFORMANCE WORKS

Part one of a seven part series of the ins and outs of planning and executing a decor heavy DIY wedding In August 2018, I was honoured (and I don’t use that term lightly) to be the lead coordinator for Heather and David’s wedding. To this point, this was the biggest wedding I had done (in scope of work) and hands down the most time I had invested into coordinating a wedding that wasn’t my own. WEDDING PHOTO GUEST BOOKS WITH BASIC INVITE

Keep wedding memories alive with a wedding photo guest book A big trend that has been around since before I started in weddings is having a wedding photo guest book! There used to be disposable cameras on each table, then photobooths became really popular, and now we have the awesome instax cameras to capture our guests; but no matter how you take them, keeping photos of your guests in a customized guest book helps to keep wedding memories alive beyond those professional photos because not only were the photos in the wedding photo guest book taken by your guests, but they also have the opportunity to accompany them with a thoughtful note. In the days gone by (read: when your...

COLLEEN AND JC’S PURRRFECT VEGAN WEDDING

From the Archives: It's Really Not That Difficult To Incorporate Your Life and Interests Into Your Wedding These two lovers made their DIY Wedding Day purrrfection! Photo by Sweet Inspirations Photography Colleen and JC’s June 24th wedding was as purrrfect as it could be, with our gorgeous June summer and the stunning gardens surrounding them!
