Our Top 5 Vancouver Wedding Venues of 2025

When it comes to planning a wedding in Vancouver, one of the biggest decisions you’ll make is choosing your venue. There are so many stunning Vancouver wedding venues, but after coordinating dozens of weddings in 2025, our team at ThistleBEA has a few clear favourites as we wrap up the year.

What makes these venues stand out for us isn’t just the location or the food (though both are amazing); it’s the teams behind them. Our favourite Vancouver wedding venues have remarkably low staff turnover, especially in their event managers. That kind of consistency is rare in the industry and makes a huge difference for couples and coordinators alike.

Here are our top 5 Vancouver wedding venues of 2025 and why we love working at each of them:

1. Cecil Green Park House

We’re incredibly honoured to be a preferred vendor at Cecil Green, and it really feels like home for our team. In fact, 10% of our weddings in 2025 were here! This historic UBC mansion offers the perfect mix of heritage charm and flexible spaces making it an easy favourite of Vancouver wedding venues.

Why we love it:

  • Outdoor ceremony and reception spaces, plus indoor options for rainy days.
  • Sage Catering is the exclusive partner here, and honestly? That’s a blessing. Their food is delicious and reasonably priced.
  • The space doesn’t need much décor – the heritage architecture shines on its own.

Things to note:

  • Heritage buildings = tighter spaces for larger guest counts.
  • Bookings are only by half-day (which never feels long enough) or full-day (which can feel like a lot for smaller weddings).
  • AV outside must end at 9pm

2. Heritage Hall

The ultimate DIY Vancouver wedding venue. Heritage Hall gives couples a blank-but-beautiful canvas to work with — you get the space for the full day, plus tables and chairs included. Its art deco charm is chef’s kiss and makes string lighting an easy win.

Why we love it:

  • Cost-effective compared to many Vancouver wedding venues.
  • Full-day rentals = less stress around timelines.
  • The kitchen is on-site and easy for caterers to use.
  • Oh, and it’s haunted.* (Don’t worry; they seem to be a friendly spirit who only shows up when the hall is nearly empty!)

Things to note:

  • Bathrooms are downstairs, which isn’t ideal. There’s one accessible washroom upstairs but it gets lots of traffic.
  • No open flames allowed.
  • Most of our couples have enough stuff for their weddings here that they need to rent a uhaul truck; so account for that in the budget

(*allegedly; we have experienced what we have experienced, but we ain’t confirming nor denying publicly that it’s haunted)

3. Stanley Park Tea House

The Stanley Park Tea House has an amazing team and even better food. What we especially love is that guests don’t have to pre-select their meals; they can order day-of. That flexibility is rare in Vancouver wedding venues.

Why we love it:

  • Incredible plated meal service.
  • Beautiful glass ceilings that make it feel airy and bright. (Although, it does get a bit warm)
  • Options for indoor dining and outdoor dancing (we love tenting the lawn for this).
  • Inclusive packages mean couples don’t have to coordinate as many vendors.

Things to note:

  • Dancing inside can’t start until 9 p.m.
  • Parking in Stanley Park during summer? Very tricky — not only do you have to drive about 15 minutes around the park to reach the Tea House, but if the upper lot is full, you’ll have to complete the entire loop again to try for a space in the lower lot.
  • Bookings inside are either morning (out by 3) or evening (access after 4).

4. Swaneset Bay Resort & Country Club

We finally got to work here in 2024 after hearing about it for years, and wow — it lived up to the hype. Swaneset is large, elegant, and absolutely stunning for photos.

Why we love it:

  • Massive capacity — perfect for larger weddings.
  • Indoor and outdoor ceremony options.
  • Beautiful staircases and architecture for photos.
  • In-house catering and furniture included.

Things to note:

  • It’s an active golf course, so you’ll see golfers and carts around.
  • You can’t take golf carts to photo locations, which means extra coordination for transport.
  • Parking requires a bit of a walk.

5. Shaughnessy Restaurant at VanDusen Gardens

Shaughnessy has been part of our couples’ weddings for years, and it’s one of my personal favourites. The food is consistently amazing (their steak is hands-down the best wedding beef I’ve ever had), and couples get access to VanDusen Gardens for sunset photos — a huge win.

Why we love it:

  • Guests choose meals day-of instead of in advance.
  • Ceremony options include the patio or inside the gardens.
  • There’s a private bridal room included.
  • Gorgeous garden backdrops for photos.

Things to note:

  • Access usually isn’t until 3:30 p.m.
  • The space is on the tighter side, and all the glass can make it a bit warm in summer.
