SAVE MONEY ON YOUR VANCOUVER COORDINATOR FOR 2020

Save $100 until March 1st on your wedding at one of our favorite restaurant wedding venues

Are you looking for a planner or coordinator to help you execute your 2020 wedding perfectly? Look no further! ThistleBEA is the go to planners for couples planning a DIY wedding; we offer only partial planning and wedding coordination for planning options which means we tackle weddings that couples have invested their time and love into, rather than planning a wedding on their behalf. And until March 1st, 2020, all weddings booked for 2020 in one of our favourite venues can save $100 off our newest package; Penny Lane. All you have to do is mention this blog post to save the money!

We started offering our Penny Lane package when we realized we had some couples booking us when they had already booked a venue that takes care of a lot of the work we do (but not all of it!). Venues like golf clubs and restaurants are super well equipped to take care of weddings in ways that other venues don’t. They have staff on hand for set-up and clean-up and all through the day to make your wedding say a success. At venues like this, our coordinators find that the things included in our traditional coordination package is a lot more than what our couples actually need and they were paying for services that they didn’t need.

The Penny Lane package includes a coordinator for up to 8 hours on your wedding day, typically starting about two hours before your ceremony with a bit of set-up and leaving after the first dance. You’d get to meet with your coordinator about 6 weeks before your wedding to go over all the details of your wedding and from there, we use an awesome software called Timeline Genius to create you a timeline customized to your wedding day. Once we go other the timeline together to ensure that everything is going to flow the way you want it to on your wedding day, we reach out to each of your wedding vendors to introduce ourselves and encourage them to contact us directly if they have questions for you so you can enjoy a relatively stress free wedding week. On the day of your wedding we are around all day to keep your wedding flowing smoothly until the after dinner events.

About Sage

I had the absolute pleasure of working at the Sage Bistro summer 2018 for Rita & Amir’s wedding and working with Nicky (the venue coordinator there) and his team made everything run so smoothly. Since this, we have been at Sage a few other times for Cynthia & Billy’s wedding and Leah & Elliot’s. This venue allows for your ceremony to be outdoors in a few different locations (including the rose garden) and hosts a fantastic cocktail hour outside on their large patio.

They can accommodate upto 250 people for a seated reception, but if you don’t have that many guests, don’t worry! Your venue will not feel empty as they have modular walls to ensure that even the cosiest of receptions feel like they belong. And speaking from experience, their food is phenomenal! You definitely get a lot of bang for your buck when you have your wedding at this awesome restaurant venue.

Depending on the scope of your decor (the more complex, the more people we need for set-up) package starts at $800 (-$100 for discount, so $700!!)

About the Uber Lounge

We’ve only had Taucha & Daniel’s wedding here but it’s such a perfect location for a wedding, it 100% falls into our favourite restaurant venues because of the beauty of the lounge, the accessible location (it’s literally right next to the waterfront skytrain station), and the delicious food!

You are able to use the space next door (where the Whitecaps store is) for your ceremony with the gorgeous North Van mountains and the sails of Canada Place as your backdrop.

Depending on the scope of your decor (the more complex, the more people we need for set-up) package starts at $800 (-$100 for discount, so $700)

About Brix and Mortar

Have you been into the downstairs part of this Yaletown venue? It is NOTHING compared to what awaits upstairs. You have the courtyard for the amazing, intimate ceremony venue, and the inside has the most amazing romantic vibes! I’ve had the opportunity to do Carrie & Blake’s wedding here in 2017 and the set-up and tear-down for Grace & Robert’s wedding in 2018, then again in 2019 for Ellis and Josh’s wedding. You definitely don’t need much in terms of decor to really make this space beautiful because of the charm that this older building already has.

This space is great for about 80 people and the plated meal options are delish. I’m a huge fan of their risotto! Their venue coordinator takes amazing care of their couples and when you have your wedding here, you know you’re getting some amazing bang for your buck!

Depending on the scope of your decor (the more complex, the more people we need for set-up) package starts at $800 (-$100 for discount, so $700!)
